PRE-KINDERGARTEN
4 YEARS - 5 YEARS
Our Pre-Kindergarten program focuses on improving cognitive skills, especially memory. To train children's memories, they are constantly asked to recall information from past days, recognize letters/sounds, and many more activities that strengthen the child's mental growth. Our teachers encourage students to start doing daily tasks on their own and taking initiative during classroom activities.
4-5 YEARS CURRICULUM
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Language goals for this age group are defined by clear communication, reciting names or addresses, counting to ten, using past and future tenses correctly, and continuing to recognize printed words and sounding them out.
COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT
At this age, children gain more control over motor skills like skipping, somersaulting, and using utensils correctly. New skills include being able draw people and familiar objects, and copying shapes.
SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL LEARNING
During the preschool years, children begin to realize the difference between what is real and what is make-believe. Children at this age will become continually empathetic with others experiencing emotion around them and start to act on their concerns for others. PKK teachers encourage children to help and support their peers whenever possible to emphasize compassion for others.
