Meet The Owners
Maria Seifi is the owner and director of Preston Kiddie Kollege (PKK), wife to Solyman Ashrafi, and mother of Nima and Ana. Maria began her career in childcare when she opened a home-based daycare in 2002. She provided a daycare service for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. Her home-based daycare grew quickly enough that she soon had to hire two teachers to keep up the quality childcare that she provided. When the demand for her daycare grew beyond what she could care for in her home, Maria was able to realize her dream to own and operate her own licensed daycare facility and preschool. Maria's main goal was to provide the love and comfort of her home-based center in a larger facility.
Maria is a hands-on director, maintaining a daily presence in the center. Maria not only keeps an open door for parents to come by, but also makes regular visits to the classroom to visit with the children and provide the extra bit of love that every child deserves! She stays up to date on trainings regarding child development, as well as trainings in business management that allow her to create an optimal work environment for her employees and help everything run smoothly, which trickles down to a happy learning environment for the children.
Maria strives to create a family atmosphere at the school with open communication and respect for each family and their priorities. She is always going the extra mile to take care and treat the entire PKK staff on holidays, during special events, and on just normal days throughout the year, because she knows the value of having a dedicated and hard-working team. Maria has a bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from the University of Maryland and holds a Child Daycare Director license with certificates in CPR and first aid.

After graduating from Plano West Senior High School, Nima spent four years studying at The University of Texas at Dallas and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Before coming to PKK, Nima spent five years as a management consultant for Incode Consulting. There, Nima worked with many senior executives in the technology and telecom industries, distilling complex problems to derive unique solutions for many multi-billion-dollar companies. Nima also participated in the creation of numerous patents and technical papers/publications in the fields of telecom, energy, security and medicine during his time at Incode Consulting.
Now, Nima uses his consulting experience and vast knowledge of technologies and business tools to push PKK into the 21st century. Nima works mostly behind the scenes making business decisions and improving the overall performance of PKK, both the front-end, child experience and the backend, technical innovation side of the business. However, Nima can often be found interacting with the children, occasionally popping into classrooms and even teaching! He is most passionate about optimizing the early childhood education PKK kids receive so that they can enter grade school confidently, and continue on to innovate & accomplish great things.
Coming from a technical business background while also holding a passion for childhood development makes Nima the perfect COO needed to turn PKK into the most advanced preschool and child service center in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.
